Hello Homeschoolers! We are so excited to welcome you to Tucson Village Farm. Your day at the farm will begin with farm chores and harvesting. You will learn proper harvesting techniques, why it’s important to “eat seasonally,” and how we choose which vegetables to grow on our farm. After harvesting, you will wash your fresh produce under the Farm Ramada and then head into the TVF Teaching Kitchen to prepare a delicious farm to table lunch. TVF educators will provide recipes, ingredients, and nutrition information as well as demonstrate proper knife skills and cooking techniques to keep you as safe as possible.
In order to squeeze in as much learning as we can, we do our best to stick to the following schedule. Any late arrivals will need to join the group wherever we are and we will still end promptly at 1PM.
Min 10 students, Max 20 students (youth and adults who harvest, cook and eat). If we do not have 10 students a week prior to the event, we will cancel the class and you will be refunded. With that said, spread the word, tell your friends, and let's fill the class!
